Velma Greer

Velma Greer, 66 of Commerce departed this life on December 22nd, 2022. Her Celebration of Life Services will be held on January 7, 2023 11:00 A.M. The Homegoing Service will be at the Commerce High School located at 3800 Sregit Drive, Commerce, TX 75428. (In honor of Velma’s favorite color, all guest are welcomed to wear Blue to her service.) Private family viewing only Following her Homegoing service, she will be then carried by horse drawn carriage to her earthly resting place at Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce, Texas. Velma is preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Browne. She leaves to cherish her memories: her Husband, Marion Greer of Commerce, her Father, Alfred “Charlie” Browne of Leeds UK, her three daughters, Chantel and Vera both of Dallas, and Tatiana of Stephenville. Her grandchildren, Anaya and Amya, her siblings, Vera Browne of Boca Raton, FL, Sandrine Moore of Birmingham UK, Michael Browne of Leeds UK, Janet Browne, Yvonne Browne, and Diane Browne, all of London UK. Her Uncles: Alford and Oriel, both of St. Thomas Virgin Island, Casper of Lecister UK, Avery of New Jersey, Cecil of Leeds UK, and Carlton of New York. Her Aunt’s: Veronica of Leeds UK, Dolly of St.Thomas Virgin Islands, Marjorie of New York City, Norma of Philadelphia, Yvonne of Trinidad, Valdora of St. Thomas Virgin Island, Vanita and Millicent of Nevis. Her Sister in Law and Caregiver, Linda Greer of Fort Worth and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and step-children.
