Sammy Brown

Rev. Sammy Brown, 68 of Commerce departed this life on Thursday, March 03, 2022. His Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 11:30 A.M. at Commerce Middle School Auditorium located at 606 Culver St., Commerce, TX 75428 Public Visitation/Viewing will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Friendship House of Praise 110 Maple St., Commerce, TX 75428, Rev. Dwight King, Pastor. Rev. Brown was born on July 31, 1953, in Greenville, Tx to Rosie B. Myles (1911- 1985) and James Henry Brown(1901- 1965). In 1975, he married his one and only wife, Estella Andrews. It took them a while, but they began having children in the year of 1980. He is leaving behind six children: Samantha Brown(1980)-Jamarian, Samauryah, Aiden, Zachyan; Tenischa Brown(1981); Samuel Brown(1983)-Resha, Talisha, Corbett Rhyse; Michael Brown(1984)-Alex; Alexis Newby(1986)- Joseph Newby- Jonathan, Kyle; and Rosie Smith(1989)-Joseph Smith-Andrew; his siblings, James Brown, Debra Wilson, Glyndell Brown, Lyndell Brown- Sharon Hamilton, Grace, Bertha Williams, and Rosie Jean; other relatives, his church family and friends. He was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings, John Bowser, Nora Goston, and Logan Pitts Jr. Please keep his family, church family, and friends in prayer.
