Corlyn Trae Hobdy

Corlyn Trae Hobdy, 21 of Greenville Celebration of Life Services will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024,  at 2 PM.  The  Homecoming Service will be at Highland Terrace Baptist Church, 3939 Joe Ramsey Blvd, Greenville, TX.

Public Visitation will be held on Thursday,  April 18, 2024, from 3 PM to 6 PM at Love and Integrity Funeral Home

4900 King Street, Greenville, TX.

Corlyn Trae Hobdy was born on January 31, 2003, in Greenville, TX to Cornelius “Needy” Duane Hobdy and Traci Elaine Shropshire. He was raised in both Neylandville and Greenville, TX, and graduated from Greenville High School in 2021. Trae was an employee at Purvis Industries, while also actively working to acquire his Commercial Driver’s License. He had many hobbies and passions, including his love for shoes, listening to music, watching Anime, and playing games with his friends and family. Above all of these, Trae’s favorite thing to do was to make others laugh. He carried an infectious joy and had a deep love for his friends, family, and everyone he encountered. No one stayed a stranger to Trae for long. 

Trae has been in a relationship with his girlfriend, Nina Gazawie since February 2023. He was planning to propose to her in just a few weeks, with hopes to be married within the next year.

Trae is survived by his mom, Traci Shropshire (Melvin Pannell); dad, Cornelius Hobdy (Skye Hargett); special parents, Tyrone and Michelle Brown; brothers, TyLyn Brown (Cortney Brown), Triston Moore, and Gavin Moore; sisters, Tara Brown, Serenity Hobdy, and Kamdyn Hobdy; niece, Leah Brown; nephew, Josiah Brown; and a host of extended family and friends.

Preceded in death by sister, Cornelia Hobdy.

The Hobdy, Brown, and Shropshire families express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for all the kind thoughts, prayers, and words of encouragement during our time of grieving. It is our prayer that God will bless and keep you.
