Brianna Gates

Brianna Gates, 18 was born and raised in Greenville, Texas. She moved to Dallas in 2017, where she attended Dade Middle School & Lincoln High School. She departed this life on Sunday, September 15, 2024.

Her Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Love and Faith Fellowship Church
1009 N. Rees Street Greenville, Texas 75401.

Public Visitation and Balloon Release will be held on Friday, September 20, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Unity Baptist Church located at 6332 Bonnyview Rd. Dallas, Texas

Brianna was born on January 16, 2006, in Greenville, Texas at Hunt County Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of Simone Blaylock of Greenville, Texas, and Michael Thomas, of Dallas, Texas. She attended Lincoln High School, where she participated in the band and choir. She was a bright, and lively young lady who enjoyed being around family and spending time with her friends. She loved to sing, draw, dance, watch her favorite show, “Anime” and make Tiktoks. Brianna also loved her little nephew Nolan Amir Jones. He brought her so much joy. She loved playing with him. Bre was so full of life and will be tremendously missed.

She is survived by her parents Simone' Blaylock and Micheal & Shalonda Thomas all of Dallas, Texas, four sisters, and six brothers: Jaila Steele, Mikell Thomas, Tamija Thomas, Makhia Thomas, Markell Smith, Makhi Thomas, Tijanae Jones, Makayla Thomas, Jayden Thomas, Jason Steele and her Godsister Amyriah Pierson. Grandparents Elnora Thomas Chamberlain and Micheal Chamberlain. Her great grandfather Albert Thomas. Brianna had a host of aunts and uncles who she admired and loved dearly.

Brianna is preceded in death by her maternal great grandmother, Lillie Pearl Champion of Greenville, Texas, her grandmother, Genetta Blaylock Smith of Greenville, Texas, her paternal grandfather, Bobby Glenn William (Che Che), great grandparents Loston and Cutis Williams of Greenville, Texas, Leola Chamberlain of Dallas, Texas and Kate Thomas of Natchitoches, LA.
